Goal
  • The first principle of achieving and maintaining the highest state of health possible is not to prevent, cure, or mitigate dis-ease as
such, treating it as something isolated, but rather to give the body everything it needs to maintain and heal itself.
  • One of the incredible benefits of globalization is the easily accessible, and affordable, range of foods and herbs for perfecting
health. Once the means of transport does not pollute through non-oil using vehicles, and all goods are fair-traded, this will be a
    great advance for all.

Healing Reaction to Change in Diet
Expect, when healing past and buried assaults to the body--whether from poor diet, pathogen infections, the use of synthetic drugs, or
a traumatic incident, internally and chronically self-caused or otherwise--to witness the re-emergence and intensification these
assaults, to feel worse-then-better, in ever-ascending healing-cycles of improving health and mitigation of symptoms. This is called
Hering's Law of Cures. Do
not fight this process. Do not take pain medications. To get worse first is necessary to become healthier.

The Healing Sun!

Oxygen and Nitric Oxide
  • Oxygen and Right Breathing: By simply breathing abdominally, slowly, deeply, and rhythmically, you will get optimal levels of
    oxygen. Every cell needs oxygen.
  • Nitric Oxide (NO): Nitric oxide released by the endothelium works to prevent red blood cells from sticking together, or
aggregating, and attaching to the vessel wall. It also has vasodilating properties, working to control vascular tone, allowing the
arteries to relax and stay clear. The endothelium releases nitric oxide when triggered by the enzyme nitric oxide synthase. Nitric
oxide then sends a signal to the inner smooth-muscle cells of artery walls prompting them to dilate (relax). The artery walls relax
and blood pressure eases, thus increasing the blood flow in the arteries.
  •                Nose breathing, where the air is properly mixed, is essential for the production of NO.
  •                Aerobic exercise increases the amount of NO that enters the bloodstream.
  •                Humming increases the NO levels by 15-fold compared with quiet exhalation.

  • Water
  1. At the very least allow your tap water to sit for several hours so the chlorine evaporates. Chlorine is a poison. It kills the
    beneficial bacteria in your gut.
  2. The second best thing to do is filter your water with a commercial filter like Brita. This will get rid of many metals and chemicals
but will not filter out fluoride.
  3. The best way to get pure water is to buy distilled water, or a reverse osmosis filter (that renatures the water), and
remineralizing these waters with ConcenTrace Mineral drops. This last method will free your water all pollutants such as chlorine,
metals, chemicals and fluoride. It is just as good as the expensive commercial mineral waters.

  • The Ideal Diet Follow a "traditional" diet, high in good fats, moderate in protein, and low in carbohydrates, and of avoiding and
    limiting the following foods.
Foods to avoid or limit:
Never eat processed foods, refined sugar, salt or flour; avoid wheat, corn, soy and dairy; and vegetable oils and man-made oils. Almost
all the nutritional value of food is removed in processing.
  • Refined Sugar: Sugar is poison. Here are 124 reasons refined sugar is bad for you.
  • Vegetable (expect for Extra Virgin Olive Oil) and Man-Made Oils. These fats and oils increase the body's need for vitamin E and
other antioxidants; severely depress the immune system; are only one molecule away from being plastic; have evolved a variety
of toxins designed by nature to protect them from "predators" such as grazing animals and block digestive enzymes that break
down protein in the stomach; become oxidized or rancid when subjected to heat, oxygen and moisture as in cooking and
processing. Vegetable fats and oils to eliminate from your diet are derived from plants such as canola (from rape seed), soy,
safflower, sunflower, soybean, and corn. This includes products that contain these fats, such as margarine, salad dressing,
mayonnaise, cooking and baking oils and fats, breads, pastries, cake, cookies, muffins, buns, French fries, potato chips, snack
foods, soups, canned meats, processed meats, cream substitutes and flavorings, ice cream, nuts. The only way to eliminate them
is to make homemade condiments, soups, broths, etc. (see Bee Wilder's Recipes Section) and by purchasing unprocessed "real"
    foods.
  • Refined Salt (or "Table Salt"): Refined salt (sodium chloride) is poison. Table salt has been so processed and refined that it is
devoid of nutritional benefits. In order for your body to try to metabolize table salt crystals, it must sacrifice tremendous amounts
of energy. Inorganic sodium chloride upsets your fluid balance and constantly overburdens your elimination systems. When your
body tries to isolate the overdose of salt you typically expose it to, water molecules must surround the sodium chloride to break
them up into sodium and chloride ions in order to help your body neutralize them. To accomplish this, water is taken from your
cells and you have to sacrifice the perfectly structured water already stored in your cells in order to neutralize the unnatural
sodium chloride. This results in dehydrated cells that can prematurely kill them. Furthermore, it can contain additives such as
aluminum, which has been linked to Alzheimer's disease, and other desiccants to keep it smooth-flowing and clump-free.
Common table salt can contribute to heart disease, overload internal organs and exacerbate hypertension. Some researchers
believe it is actually toxic to humans and animals. Some even call it a poison.
  • Refined Flour: It lacks the bulk producing bran and about three fourths of the mineral content of the wheat berry is removed in
    the milling process.
  • Wheat/Oats: Primarily because of the gluten content, which is incredibly difficult to digest, and causes the intestine to secret
mucus. (Healthy alternatives are sprouted or sourdough breads.)
  • Corn: It is an empty carbohydrate with little nutritional value. It is in almost all processed food products in America. They also
contain harmful fungi that excrete mycotoxins.
  • Soy is loaded with trypsin inhibitors that prevent proper protein digestion; goitrogen which inhibits thyroid function; phytic acid, a
fiber that impairs absorption of minerals; and phytoestrogens which dangerously increase the estrogen hormone, and contains
the wrong fatty acid, Omega 6. If you are going to eat soy make sure it is not processed. Soy has a Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio of
1:7 (A massive public relations campaign by the soy industry has convinced us processed soy is healthy.)
  • Dairy: Dairy products should be avoided. Dairy products are not essential for the health of humans. All the nutrients that are
contained in dairy products can be obtained from plant foods. (Public relations campaign by the dairy industry has convinced us
    otherwise.)
  • Peanuts: They can harmful fungi that excrete mycotoxins.
  • Fruits: Moderate. Fruit is mostly fructose sugar with some vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Those vitamins and nutrients
are easily obtained from meats, eggs, and vegetables. Fruits should be limited to two per day (two lemons or limes, or grapes, or
watermelons in the summer). If you eat other fruits eat them with good fats as this slows the release of sugar into the
    bloodstream (e.g. with coconut oil).
  • Grains (occasional and properly prepared): Gluten-free grains: brown rice, amaranth, buckwheat, millet and quinoa.
  • Nuts/Seeds (occasional and properly prepared - see below): Grains require careful preparation because they contain a number of
antinutrients. Phytic acid, for example, is an organic acid in which phosphorus is bound. It is mostly found in the bran or outer hull
of seeds. Untreated phytic acid can combine with calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and especially zinc in the intestinal tract and
block their absorption. This is why a diet high in improperly prepared whole grains may lead to serious mineral deficiencies and
bone loss. Other antinutrients in whole grains include enzyme inhibitors which can inhibit digestion and put stress on the
pancreas; irritating tannins; complex sugars which the body cannot break down; and gluten (elastic gluey protein found in
wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, kamut, triticale) and related hard-to-digest proteins which may cause intestinal damage, making
them incapable of absorbing nutrients such as proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and in some cases even water.
  • Fiber: The human digestive system is totally incapable of breaking down fibers in plant foods. Fiber foods like vegetables, grains,
nuts, seeds and legumes are very hard on the intestines, which have to work extra hard to get rid of all of those fibers. This
makes the bowels move too quickly, resulting in fewer nutrients being absorbed from foods.
  • Honey, Blue Agave: Limit, high in sugars.
  • Fish - Review this list for fish that contain the lowest detected mercury levels. Wild-caught Pacific Salmon has the best mercury to
Omega 3 Fatty acid ratio. Farm-raised fish have higher PcB levels. Other good low-level mercury fish are Croaker, Sardines,
Haddock and Tilapia. I avoid eating fish because of the negative impact on the environment; and because I get all the benefits
    from Krill Oil pills

Ideal Foods to Eat - Click Here to Calculate the best ratio of protein / carbs / fats-oils for your age and weight.
Good Fats and Oils:
  •        Oils.--Extra Virgin Olive Oil (for salads not cooking - burning oils in cooking is very unhealthy)
  •        Virgin expeller pressed Coconut Oil, for cooking. Click here to learn of its many health benefits.
  •        Walnut Oil - for cooking
  •        Flaxseed Oil or Borage Oil - Supplement.
  •        Good Fats: Raw butter (next best is organic cultured), lard, tallow, fats from grass-fed meat.

Eggs and Meat
  • Free-range Eggs! - the most nutrient-dense food. Your brain is 80% cholesterol! Cholesterol is good! Raw eggs may inhibit biotin
uptake so a supplement should be taken if eating them this way.
  • Grass-fed Meat. Like Beef and Buffalo. - Highly beneficial and should be eaten whenever possible. Conventional meat is loaded
with pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, nitrites and other chemicals and is often irradiated. Not only meat must be organic and
grass-fed it must be properly prepared (see below)--in short, the less cooked the better. Here is a list of health food stores
around the country that may carry this kind of meat (and other organic or biodynamic foods).
  • Liver. -  Twice a week - Provides B vitamins (especially B12) and iron.
  • Bone Broth Soups. - Rich in minerals. Click here for recipes.

Vegetables, Herbs, Ocean Plants, and Fruits
  • Dark leafy green vegetables. Especially spinach, kale, collard greens and swiss chard.
  • Other non-starchy vegetables. - Especially broccoli, peppers, onions and garlic. (3-5 garlic cloves a day is best. Chop thinly and
wait 15 minutes before eating. This activates the beneficial chemical allicin.) Note, although cruciferous vegetables like broccoli
and kale are highly beneficial, eaten raw, they contain thyroid inhibitors known as goitrogens that appear to reduce thyroid
function. If you eat a balanced diet this should not be a problem as it seems it takes a very high intake of these kinds of
uncooked, unsteamed, unfermented vegetables to cause thyroid problems; although, people who have hypothyroid function
should consider limiting and steaming cruciferous vegetables (and should also try finding a natural cure for this functional
    problem, such as vigorous exercise!).
  • Fermented Foods - (3 month of cabbage rejuvaluc to plant good gut flora, occasional afterwards). Fermenting cruciferous
vegetables will remove the thyroid-inhibting chemicals while retaining the same nutrient content as if eaten raw.
  • Hot Peppers.
  • Herbs. - (it is best to buy fresh potted herbs, or even better, grow your own!)
  1. Parsley
  2. Thyme & Oregano - powerful antioxidants
  3. Cilantro - chelates (removes) mercury, mercury, lead. I take cilantro tincture.
  • Chlorella (6tabs = 3g) and Chlorella Growth Factor (1 tab) Click here to learn of the benefits (mainly binding and removing all
heavy metals and other environmental and man-made toxins). Chlorella and cilantro work together to remove mercury from the
    body.
  • Seeded Grapes and/or Lemon or Limes. - Removes excess mucus buildup in organs like the intestines and lungs. One lemon or
lime a day, or a bunch of grapes with seeds and eat the seeds (very powerful antioxidants)! (Lemons can be used to make an
    electrolyte drink.)
  • Tomatoes, Currants and Apricots - Very high in potassium.
  • Watermelon. - In the summer! Try to eat all melons separately from all other foods. They are extremely alkalizing (a good thing).

Drinks
  • Teas. -
  1. Pau d'arco (good mild antifungal)
  2. White Tea (lowest in caffeine and fluoride and highest in antioxidant, five times more than green tea)
  3. Dandelion root (promotes healthy liver function)
  4. Chamomile (promotes healthy digestion)
  5. Rose hips (high in Vitamin C)
  6. Ginger Tea.
  7. Garlic Tea.
  • Electrolyte Drink. - Mix 1/2 lemon, freshly squeezed, with 1/4 teaspoon of Celtic sea salt, in 6 oz. of non-chlorinated water, or
used vegetable cooking water, in a 6 ounce glass, and drink it 6 times per day. Add 4 drops of ConcenTrace Minerals.

Nuts, Seeds, Salt, Spices
  • Apricot Kernels. - 7-10 a day for cancer prevention. (+30 mg zinc supplement since this transports B17)
  • Raw unhulled unroasted Walnuts, Almonds, Pumpkin Seeds. - (Properly prepared - see below.) High in Omega 3 / High in Vitamin
    E and keeps arteries elastic.
  • Celtic Sea Salt. - provides essential trace elements (provides enough iodine). 1 to 1-1/2 tspn a day. All processed salts remove
most if not all of these essential trace elements. Salt has gotten a bad reputation in America. Salt is essential for healthy
digestion, balancing internal fluid levels in the body to prevent swelling, proper functioning of the nervous system, a factor in
getting a good night's sleep, preventing muscle cramps, assists calcium absorption and plays a role in sexuality and a healthy
    libido.
  • Spices. -Especially Turmeric (see also this link about Turmeric) and Cayenne Pepper. Take care not to buy irradiated spices. The
brand "Simply Organic" are grown under strict organic guidelines and are not irradiated. I eat a tablespoon of raw turmeric root
    everyday.

The cheapest and yet best foods that you can buy--containing several essential nutrients, as well as being very high in antioxidants--
are:
parsley ($1 a bunch), dark leafy green vegetables (~$2 a big bunch), broccoli ($1/lb), eggs (~$3 for a dozen of free-range eggs), clove
oil
($4 for a bottle that will last 4 months), and olive extract ($7 for a bottle that will last two weeks)..

Antioxidants:
NOTE: the foods and supplements recommended will give, by far, healthy amounts of antioxidants! See below.
Antioxidant Rich Foods and Oils (& the cholesterol-plaque connection)
  • Free radicals are electromagnetic toxin-fields. Free radicals are very unstable and react quickly with other compounds, trying to
capture the needed electron to gain stability. They are like little electromagnetic fields. Generally, free radicals attack the nearest
stable molecule, "stealing" its electron. When the "attacked" molecule loses its electron, it becomes a free radical itself,
beginning a chain reaction. Once the process is started, it can cascade, finally resulting in the disruption of a living cell.
  • Production of free radicals. Some free radicals arise normally during metabolism. Sometimes the body's immune system's cells
purposefully create them to neutralize viruses and bacteria. They are produced when exposing the skin and eyes to (beneficial!)
sunshine. However, environmental factors such as pollution, radiation (from electrical appliances such as microwaves, computers,
TVs, cell phones), cigarette smoke and herbicides can also spawn free radicals.
  • Antioxidants. Many foods and substances contain antioxidants which absorb free radicals (toxins).
  • LDL Cholesterol. Antioxidant foods help prevent the oxidation of LDL ("bad" cholesterol - actually is not bad, click here), a major
risk factor for atherosclerosis (plaque that blocks blood vessels, leading to heart attack and stroke).

Scientists at Tufts University have developed a scale for the U.S. Department of Agriculture called the ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorption
Capacity) test. The higher the ORAC score is, the more capable that particular food, spice or herb is of destroying free radicals
(antioxidant).
Essential oils have the highest ORAC scores of any known substance.

  • Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile)  2,446
  • Juniper (Juniperus osteosperma)  2,517
  • Spearmint (Mentha spicata)  5,398
  • Lemongrass (Cymbopogen flexuosus)  17,765
  • Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus)  24,157
  • Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamamum verum)  103,448
  • Mountain Savory (Satureja montana)  113,071
  • Oregano (Origanum compactum)  153,007
  • Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)  159,590
  • Clove (Syzygium aromaticum)  10,786,875

These essential oils are even more potent than fruits which are promoted as powerful antioxidants, such as blueberries, ORAC Score
2,400. The last six oils on this chart are even more powerful than Chinese wolfberries, ORAC score 23,300. A drop of Clove Oil contains
400 times more antioxidants per unit volume than wolfberries, the most powerful of all known fruits, and a 15ml bottle of Clove Oil has
the antioxidant capacity of 40 quarts of blueberries.

This
website gives a list of the types of antioxidants and foods that contain them. As mentioned, the foods recommended on this
webpage, and the
Supplements Page, provide more than sufficient antioxidants.

Andrew's Tea Special
